Literature Text

Will you look into the black abyss
and take a leap of faith?
Will you stare into the black abyss
and never see again?
Will you listen to the black abyss
and no more hear the pain?
Will you scream into the black abyss
and hear echoes of your rage?

Will you turn your back on the black abyss
turn towards the light, and then
Will you walk away from the black abyss
and learn to love again?
Will you keep away from the black abyss
and bury your dreams in hope?
Oh! Stay away from the Black Abyss
that dangles from the rope!

For if you look at the black abyss
your soul shall never mend
And if you stare at the black abyss
then that will be the end.
A poem inspired by the incredibly talented Colbalt-rain's poem "And I Have Tried to Make it Right". I felt really good after writing this poem, as I finally got all of those pent-up feelings that I like to hide deep in my soul out. It's one of my best.

I like the repetition of "the black abyss".  I also like the rhyme scheme.  This is thought-provoking and nice.  :)
